Well there were 6 of us that fished the Rapp on Saturday. Dan and I, Fred and Fred's friend form Pa and a neighbor of his along with his grandson. The weather was great. Nice spring day that was not to warm and not to chilly in the mornings. The rain that came through on Thursday really cooled things off. The river was pushing 1980cfs when we started to fish. Believe it or not the rain didn't mud the river up at all. It only raised it a few feet from Wednesday and it came down to 1620cfs by the end of the day when we left.
Fishing was tough for some and great for others, but we all caught fish. With the water as high as it was you really needed a full sink or sinking tip line to get to the fish. The other key is casting to where they were. It was all in all a good day on the water and we turned some new folk into shad fisherman and hope to get a few of the to join us on our next trip to Erie in the fall.
