A Lovely Day for a Guinness

I couldn't find anyone to float with me on Saturday so I did two short floats on the South fork around Kits Mill area.  Fishing was best in the morning with a lot of little ones on top water and one fun size 14 incher that ran circles around my canoe.  There is a lot of nice deep water around Pyramid Rock and just down stream of it.  Should be good musky water.  I did spot one musky about a mile downstream.  Was only about 20 inches or so.  I went to lunch and then went to another section just downstream from where was I was and put in at the 340 bridge.  I floated maybe a 1/2 mile downstream, but getting a good drift in my canoe was hard because the wind really picked up.  So I didn't stay very long.  I got off the water about 3:30 or 4:00 and headed to the Rodeo.

The Rodeo was great with lots of good people and good BBQ.  I stayed till just a little while after dark and headed home.  Jeff put on a nice party with a Blue Grass Band.  Can't wait till next year.
